Rosmuc
Rosmuc is a nice little village whose Irish name means the peninsula of rounded hills. The area is particularly famous for the presence of Padraic Pearse's Cottage, now listed as a National Monument. The cottage was once the summer retreat of this Irish writer, who was also one of the leaders of Easter revolution in 1916. Pearse (1879-1916) was a keen promoter of Irish language and many of his short stories were written during his staying in the cottage.
At walking distance from the cottage there is a Centre offering information, publications and visitors facilities. The Centre is open Open every day.
